Jamaal Myers is the Toronto City Councillor for Ward 23 – Scarborough North and a committed advocate for working people, strong public services, and equitable communities. Born and raised in Scarborough, Jamaal is a lawyer by profession who has championed investments in affordable housing, public transit, community safety, and neighbourhood infrastructure at City Hall. Jamaal championed the sixplex pilot in Scarborough North as a way to create affordable housing through gentle density. This pilot was not only expanded to other wards but also helped secure $471M of Federal Government funding to build over 11,000 affordable housing units across Toronto.
